Evaluation Question 3&4)

The film below is a Student Film called "Switch" this has been posted on YouTube and has gained 8,503 hits and 8 comments. The internet has been used to launch this movie to a wider audience by being viral, meaning people have passed the links around via email, MSN etc. The video is most popular with females aged 13 to 17, males aged 25 to 34 and males aged 35 to 44.




In order to to advertise my film, I would first create a trailer for the film then, upload my trailer onto YouTube. I would then create a fan page on Facebook and post a link to my trailer onto it and posting pictures and notes about the film and cast. I would then repeat this with, Bebo, Myspace, Twitter, Tumblr and even Blogger. On myspace I would post bloopers from the film and the film soundtrack with blogs from the cast to interest people and to try to create a 'Buzz'. I would also create serveral film posters to create even more of 'Buzz' and to appeal to people within different age groups. In order to appeal to a wide audience I would go onto sites where people are interested in amature films and people who are in action/spy films.
