Thriller Title Sequence 2010 Group 2: Location Shots

Location shots

Originally the locations for our thriller were;
• The Brunswick Centre
• College/Starbucks
• The Canal

In one of our planning lessons we changed the storyline quite dramatically, so we changed the location of the Brunswick centre to Kings Place.

We then had a talk with one of our media teachers and decided to change the location of college as it wasn’t the best place to film as it would look tacky. Also we had to change the location of Starbucks as when we asked the Starbucks we wanted to use, they said we needed to fill out planning permission forms which enabled us to film which would take time to go through and to get an approval – this was time we didn’t have. So we chose Michaels living room to film one of the scenes as we didn’t need planning permission and the location wasn’t too far away and his parents didn’t mind.

To make sure we were allowed to film at Kings Place we went down to Kings Place and asked at the reception. We were then told to ring the site manager called Anna. We rang her and explained a bit about what we wanted to do and she agreed it was okay. But we’d have to email her explaining more in detail and she gave us certain things/places we weren’t allowed to film. We then asked if we could take location shots and she said it was okay to do so. Unfortunately we were unable to take shots of inside the buliding.
