In Sherlock Holmes the style of the titles go from modern colour shot to an old fashioned colour. The titles are then in an old Victorian type style italic font face, which looks hand written as if it was a romantic letter. It then alternates between the two, modern then to old fashioned. The titles then states the director as Guy Richie and goes on to say the cast. The title sequence suits the particular genre, which is an action thriller.
